Baroda Heart Institute & Research Centre launches " The Radial Lounge ". A specialized unit which makes the procedure of coronary Angiography and Angioplasty fast, safe, comfortable and convenient.

Radial Lounge Procedure is a new concept, Where the procedure for coronary angiography and angioplasty are performed through the forearm ( as against the traditional procedure through the groin ).

The Patient, after angiography is discharged within 1-2 hours and after a coronary angioplasty is discharged in just 6-7 hrs if he lives in the vicinity.The Patient spends this time relaxing in a specially designed Radial Lounge where he can watch TV, listen to music, read magazines, have some healthy snacks and get tips of life style modification and risk factor control by experts in this field.
